The national vocational trainer festival 2009 kicked off in Quy Nhon city on July 15.

Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Dam Huu Dac and Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh attended the ceremony.

258 vocational trainers working at 182 vocational training centers nationwide have joined the festival with different subjects, such as electricity, information technology, mechanics, agriculture, and tourism.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dac emphasized that the human resources development is the top priority of the socio-economic development strategy.

The Party and State, therefore, always focus on the vocational training, aiming to meet the country's long-term target of becoming an industrial country by 2020, he said.

This year’s festival is expected to prove vocational trainers’ effort in improving the quality of human resources nationwide, Dac added.

The event will end by July 21.
