The seminar entitled “Nguyen Tat Thanh in Binh Dinh” has been held today in Quy Nhon city, the central province of Binh Dinh.

Provincial Party Committee, provincial People’s Committee, Ho Chi Minh National Administrative – Political Academy, Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the Centre for Research, Preservation, Development of National Culture held the event.

According to historic documents, unable to bear the sight of the country losing its independence and his homeland in ruins, the young patriotic Nguyen Tat Thanh (later Ho Chi Minh) went abroad to find a way to save the country.

When coming to Sai Gon to go abroad from 1909-1910, Nguyen Tat Thanh stayed in Binh Dinh where he started studying French.

Also, Nguyen Tat Thanh and his father said goodbye in Binh Dinh before he came to Phan Thiet to teach at Duc Thanh school.

More than 50 reports presented at the seminar consists of valuable studies on Uncle Ho’s biography.

They showed the background when Nguyen Tat Thanh came and left Binh Dinh, his activities here, and how the culture and history of the land of martial arts affected his thought.

The seminar is expected to offer more historic documents about Ho Chi Minh, aiming to build monuments to Ho Chi Minh in Binh Dinh to mark 40 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament and 120th birth anniversary of Ho Chi Minh.
