A ceremony was solemnly held in Quy Nhon city yesterday, marking 64th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, 40 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament, and 100 years of Uncle Ho’s arrival in Binh Dinh.
The province’s leaders, former leaders, and other people attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha reviewed the country’s achievements in the revolutionary wars.
He briefed the participants on the province’s socio-economic results after 40 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.
Ha also said that it is a great honour for the whole province when the young patriotic Nguyen Tat Thanh (later Ho Chi Minh) came to Binh Dinh 100 years ago before going abroad to find a way to save the country.
On September 1, provincial leaders and representatives of provincial bodies had laid wreaths and burned incense at the tombs of martyrs in Quy Nhon Martyrs’ Cemetery, commemorating fallen soldiers who laid down their lives for the country’s independence and freedom.
