Binh Dinh Women Entrepreneurs’ Club has a new name from today (Aug.8). The name “club” will be replaced with the “association” after operating for six years.
Together with Dat Vo (Land of martial arts) Entrepreneurs’ Association, the establishment of Binh Dinh Women Entrepreneurs’ Association showed their enthusiasm for the province’s development.
After being set up in March, 2004, the club built a set of practical regulations meeting its members’ demands. The word “women entrepreneur”, which was quite strange to women who run companies, partly helps them make every effort to contribute to the development of Binh Dinh.
It annually organizes many activities on the occasion of the national festivals and Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day. In its periodic meetings, various topics, including not only business related issues but socio and political matters, are often talked about.
Also, the club coordinated with women entrepreneurs’ clubs in neighboring provinces of Phu Yen and Gia Lai, aiming to help its members strengthen their relationship with the others.
Many members of the club had chances to express their expectation and find partners when joining the regular talks focusing on business operation.
Thanks to its effective operation, nearly 100 women entrepreneurs were able to share experiences with their colleagues when participating in training courses. At present, its affiliates have been set up in the province’s city and districts.
The club actively joins many charitable activities. Its members raised funds and presented gifts to underprivileged people and AO/dioxin-infected children; granted scholarships to poor but outstanding students, build houses for poor women in some districts, and other activities.
Some women entrepreneurs had chances to attend international meetings, such as APEC women leaders’ network meeting and global women summit.
With the new name “Binh Dinh Women Entrepreneurs’’ Association”, it is expected to extend its operation to attract more women entrepreneurs, bringing benefits to all members and supporting the operation of businesses.
