Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh on January 28 received the Vietnam-based PATH delegation led by Mrs Ramona Byrkit.

At the meeting, the PATH representative highly appreciated the effectiveness of the “Strengthening the prevention of child diarrhea in Binh Dinh” project, which has been implemented in the province since September, 2008.

The PATH organisation will continue its support for Binh Dinh this year through many activities, such as offering 240,000 zinc tablets for child diarrhea treatment and assessing the community’s demands and behavior change for child diarrhea prevention and treatment.

Mrs Ramona Byrkit expressed the hope that Binh Dinh will become an example for other provinces to follow in preventing child diarrhea.
