The Phu Cat district’s affiliate of Vietnam Women’s Union held a get-together yesterday on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union.
At the meeting, the participants reviewed the 80-year history of the Vietnam Women’s Union with its great contributions to the country’s revolutionary cause and the solidarity among women.
The district’s affiliate also launched some programmes, aiming to help poor women.
The affiliates of Vietnam Women’s Union in Quy Nhon city and districts of Van Canh, An Lao, and Tuy Phuoc will also held similar gets-together from October 13-20 while the affiliates in districts of An Nhon, Hoai Nhon, and Phu My will held meetings to mark the 80th founding anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union.
Culture and sport competitions and cuisine programme are expected to take place in districts of Van Canh, Tay Son, and An Nhon on the occasion.
