Binh Dinh donates VND500 mln to flood victims in Ha Tinh

The Binh Dinh’s delegation headed by Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Fatherland Front Committee Ha Van Cat has visited and offered the relief aid to flood victims in its twin province of Ha Tinh from October 23-25.

According the reports, two consecutive floods, happening from October 1-19, left 20 dead, one missing, 26 injured. The floods also submerged 175,110 houses, devastated dyke systems and inundated a vast area grown with rice and subsidiary crops. The total loss was estimated at over VND5 trillion.

Cat extended deep sympathy to people in flooded areas, especially families of dead people and donated VND500 million as relief aid to assist Ha Tinh’s people in overcoming the flood aftermath and normalising their lives.

The Binh Dinh Fatherland Front People’s Committee had also donated VND200 million to Ha Tinh’s flood victims.

Also, the representative of Binh Dinh Newspaper donated VND6 million raised from its readers to help flood-hit families.
