Flood victims granted gifts

Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Trong Dam and leaders of Binh Dinh Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs visited 2 flood-hit families of Mr. Ta Minh Hung and Ms. Truong Thi Lan at Tan Gian hamlet, Phuoc Hoa commune, Tuy Phuoc district on November 15. Each of the two families, who were poor and suffering severe damages in the latest flood, was granted 1 million VND.

* Also in the same day, Representative Office of Thanh Nien Newspaper in Binh Dinh and Phu Cat district Youth Union visited and granted 175 gifts (each worth 200,000 VND) to flood victims at Cat Hai commune, Phu Cat district.  The relief assistance was worth over 35 million VND, in which 10 million VND contributed by Quy Nhon University students, 4.2 million VND by Nam A Bank-Quy Nhon Branch and the rest covered by readers of Thanh Nien Newspaper. The students also collected 22 packages of second hand clothes for the flood victims at Cat Hai.

* A relief delegation from Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province granted 140 gifts for needy people at My Cat commune, Phu My district on November 13.  Each of the gifts was worth over 550,000 VND, including 200,000 VND in cash and necessities like blankets, rice, instant noodles, etc.
