The Military Headquarters of Binh Dinh Province held a ceremony on December 22, marking the 66th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army and the 21th anniversary of the All-People’s National Defence Day.
Many provincial leaders, formers leaders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces attended the ceremony.
The participants recalled the People's Army's construction and development as well as its glorious achievements in the resistance wars against French colonialism and US imperialism for the national liberation and freedom.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien emphasized that recalling the glorious 66-year history of Vietnam People’s Army helped the whole people and young generation express their gratitude to Uncle Ho’s soldiers who have fought and fallen for the nation’s revolutionary cause.
He also said that the province’s armed forces and all people will continue upholding the patriotic tradition, promoting the emulation movement, and making new achievements for the province’s socio-economic development.
