Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan chaired the event with the participation of leaders of Ministries of Planning and Investment, Education and Training, Labor-War Invalids and Social Affairs and other officials.
The human resources in the southern central coastal provinces see many advantages, meeting the localities’ demand for development. However, some provinces are still facing the shortage of skilled manpower, according to the reports.
The southern central coastal provinces should work out measures to ensure the HRD target. They may include the planning for vocational training network, cooperation for manpower training, and preferential policies to attract talents and skilled laborers.
At the conference, the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee also delivered a report on the HRD planning in Binh Dinh for the 2011-2020 period.
Deputy PM Nhan emphasized the provinces need to focus on four sides in term of HRD planning, that is, employers, students, schools, and the State.
He said that employers must “place an order” basing on their real demands for laborers. Schools will then offer suitable training courses, aiming to meet such demands. The State will propose the training network planning and support the link among schools, students and businesses.
Deputy PM Nhan also asked the provinces to soon finish their reports on the HRD planning for the 2011-2020 period.
