In the Youth Month, which falls on March, many activities will be held for the sake of the community. Permanent Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union, Ly Tiet Hanh, talks more about the preparation for the Youth Month.

This year’s Youth Month will be launched with the theme “Youth acts for environment”. Could you brief us on key activities for the movement?

At present, the province’s Youth Union and its affiliates are ready for the Youth Month. About 900 Youth Union members will join the “Green Sunday” and “Protect our rivers” programs on February 28.

Joining the programs, they will clean up the rubbish from Hoang Quoc Viet to Le Loi streets and plant trees at primary schools in Quy Nhon city.

A series of activities will take place in districts, including “Green Sunday”, environment protection, disaster and epidemic control, and other issues.

Voluntary activities, which have been carried out, also reaped positive results, meeting the localities’ demands. The Youth Month’s activities are expected to make our environment greener, cleaner, and more beautiful.

Alongside these, the Youth Month is believed to raise the youth’s awareness of environment protection.

The Youth Month will also include issues relating to the youth’s studying and employment. What are the contents of the programs?

This year’s Youth Month will include many activities, aimed at meeting young people’s demands for vocational training, job seeking, and studying.

More employment opportunities will be offered at the province’s vocational training and employment agency during the Youth Month. Young people will have chances to take out loans for vocational training, labor export, and business.

Also, outstanding people will be honored in this month, encouraging young people, particularly those who live in rural areas, to find new ways for their development.

Activities for the community will continue to be carried out, such as helping people in far and remote areas, overcoming the flood aftermath, building houses for poor people, and helping disadvantage children.

Together with the above-mentioned issues, there will be other events taking place in the Youth Month, including the youth festival, talks between Youth Union members and leaders, and other campaigns.

The Youth Month is expected to bring many benefits to young people in Binh Dinh.
