Provincial Chairman visits Buddhist dignitary

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province Nguyen Van Thien on May 25 paid a visit to the monk Thich Thien Nhon, member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council and head of Binh Dinh Province Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board on the occasion of the 2554th birthday of Buddha.

Thien extended greetings to all Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers, hoping that the dignitaries would further encourage monks, nuns and followers to actively join hand in socio-economic development and national unity.

The Buddhist dignitary expressed thanks to provincial leaders and bodies for their concern, confirming that province’s Buddhist dignitaries and followers will continue contributing to the country’s development under the motto of “Dharma-Nation-Socialism.”
