Provincial Chairman receives U.S Ambassador to Vietnam

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province Nguyen Van Thien received the U.S Ambassador to Vietnam Michael W. Michalak on June 4 when he visited Binh Dinh and attended the ribbon cutting ceremony held at the Quang Trung Ward Medical Clinic under Pacific Partnership 2010.

At the reception, provincial Chairman Thien briefed the US Ambassador on the province’s socio-economic situation, expressing the hope that many U.S investors will seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh after his visit.

The U.S Ambassador Michael W. Michalak also expressed his concern for the province’s infrastructure development and its projects. He promised to assist Binh Dinh in creating favorable conditions for its agricultural products to be exported to the U.S.

He congratulated Binh Dinh for reaping many social-economic achievements, particularly its high provincial competitiveness index. He also thanked the province’s leaders and people for creating the most favourable conditions for the operation of the USNS Mercy hospital ship in Binh Dinh.
