The “university entrance exam aid” program 2010 was launched at Quy Nhon University on June 25, aiming to help thousands of students who will come to Binh Dinh to attend the July’s entrance exam.
More than 83000 candidates will come to Binh Dinh in July to take the university entrance exam. To assist them in finding suitable accommodation and means of transport, the province’s Youth Union formed 20 groups of volunteers. Over 300 students and young people coming from Binh Dinh-based universities and colleges and Youth Unions joined the programme.
The groups have been present at coach stations, railway stations, and exam venues from June 25 to July 11 to offer students and their relation the information about free and cheap accommodations, prices, and exam venues.
“The volunteers had been trained essential skills to effectively carry out their tasks,” said deputy secretary of Binh Dinh’s Youth Union, Nguyen Thanh Binh.
The “entrance exam aid” program was launched on June 25, but the provincial Youth Union’s officials and volunteers had collected the information about free and cheap accommodations, bus route, exam venues, and prices. During the programme, they are expected to offer students 15000 cheap and free accommodations.
Also, some sponsors agreed to present 50,000 free maps to students and 1000 free meals to disadvantaged ones.
As soon as the programme was launched, the volunteers immediately began their work. Bui Tan Loc, a volunteer in Binh Dinh town, An Nhon district, said that he’s joined the “entrance exam aid” programme for many times and hoped that students don’t have to worry about accommodations to focus on their exams.
Thousands of students and their relatives will come to Quy Nhon city and two districts of Tuy Phuoc and An Nhon in one week. The volunteers are now preparing everything to assist them in overcoming any difficulties when they come here.
