Scholarships worth VND1 billion offered to Lao students

The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province has decided to allocate a financial assistance of more than VND1 billion to Quy Nhon University, aiming to offer scholarships to Lao students who are studying here.

Under the agreement between Binh Dinh and southern provinces of Laos, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province has assisted the Quy Nhon University in providing scholarships for Lao students since the academic year 2007-2008.

Among 155 Lao students studying here, 32 are majoring in Vietnamese and 4 are attending post-graduate courses.

More than 300 Lao students have graduated from the Quy Nhon University in the past 10 years and they also returned to work in Laos.
