Provincial leaders pay tribute to martyrs

A ceremony was solemnly held at the Quy Nhon Martyrs’ Cemetery yesterday on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, which falls on July 27.

 

The province’s leaders lay floral wreaths bearing the words “Be grateful to heroic martyrs forever” at the Quy Nhon Martyrs’ Cemetery.

 

The province’s leaders, including Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien, and the others paid tribute to fallen combatants by burning incense and laying floral wreaths at the cemetery, commemorating their sacrifices and devotion to the country's independence and freedom.

On the same day, Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Tung visited and presented gifts to revolutionary families in Quy Nhon city.

Deputy Secretary Tung expressed his deepest thanks to all war invalids and martyrs for their great contributions to the nation’s revolutionary cause.

He confirmed that Vietnam’s revolutionary cause has obtained great achievements thanks to the sacrifices of soldiers and war invalids. He added that the Party, State and people will always do their best to maintain those achievements.
