A grand meeting was held in Quy Nhon city on August 7 with the participation of many leaders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, revolutionary veterans, and representatives of social beneficiaries coming from two provinces of Ha Tinh and Binh Dinh.

The event took place with the aim at celebrating the 50th anniversary of twin provinces of Binh Dinh and Ha Tinh (1960-2010).
Vu Hoang Ha, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, and Nguyen Thanh Binh, Secretary of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, reviewed the relationship of two provinces in the past 50 years, hoping that the cooperation between two sides will more and more develop.
On the same day, the People’s Committees of Binh Dinh and Ha Tinh provinces signed an agreement for the socio-economic development between two provinces in the 2011-2015 period.
Under the agreement, the comprehensive cooperation programme between two provinces will be boosted.
The Ha Tinh province also presented 55 gifts to social beneficiaries in Binh Dinh and a total of VND55 million to the province’s Fund for Gratitude. Binh Dinh will aid Ha Tinh in building a social welfare center worth VND700-800 million.
