90-year-old people receive gifts from provincial Chairman

1,936 people who are aged 90 in Binh Dinh will be offered gifts from the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee as way to wish them good health and life expectancy on the occasion of the forthcoming International Day for Older Persons (October 1) reported the provincial Department of Labour, War Invalids, and Social Affairs.

Those who reach age of 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 and over 100 will enjoy longevity wishing ceremonies jointly held by the local authorities and the Vietnam’s Elderly Association’s affiliates at grass roots level.

About 160,000 old-aged persons are living across the province, making up 10 percent of the province’s total population, according to the statistics from the representative board of the Vietnam’s Elderly Association’s affiliate in Binh Dinh.
