Two Le Quy Don Gifted high school students, who had passed the 2010’s university entrance exam were admitted to Val de Loire University (France), said the high school’s headmaster Pham Xuan Bac on September 23.
They are Khong Minh Thuong and Pham Thi My Hao. Thuong is a 12th grader of a Chemistry gifted class and won the second prizes of the National Contest for Excellent Students twice. Hao is also 12th grader of a Mathematics gifted class and won a consolation prize of the same contest.
Val de Loire is ranked 5th among the best universities in France. It majors in training qualified mechanical electronics engineers and production system technicians.
The university will cover accommodation costs and tuition fees for the students during three years.
Thuong and Hao went to Hue University of Pedagogy on September 20 to start their 2-year course on French, English, mathematics, physics and chemistry before entering the main training program in France.
Another student from Le Quy Don gifted high school, Duong Tu, who is preparing for studying in France, was also admitted to the same university in France last year.
