Youth Year 2011 launched

A ceremony was held in front of the Quang Trung Square on January 1, launching the Youth Year 2011.

Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien, provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh and the representatives of other bodies attended the launching ceremony.

The 2011’s Youth Year will focus on five programs, including Youth Day for the poor, Youth Day for Environment, Youth Day for disadvantaged children, Youth Day for national border, and Youth Day for voluntary blood donation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Thien asked relevant bodies to closely coordinate with each other to effectively organize the Youth Year’s activities.

He then beat the drum, announcing the Youth Year has started. Many art performances took place after that.

As planned, the Youth Year 2011 will focus on the volutary blood donation, Day for poor people, Day for national border, Day for environment, and student festival from January 1-7.
