Under the “Trans-Vietnam journey – Spring 2011” program, the delegation of the Canada-based Dreams Fulfilled Relief Organization (DFRO) visited and presented 500 Tet gifts to leprosy patients and their relatives at Quy Hoa National Leprosy and Dermatology Hospital on Jan. 19.
The DFRO’s representative and Binh Dinh Association for Study Promotion had also signed an agreement on a sponsorship deal for underprivileged children in Binh Dinh.
DFRO is a non-profit organization founded by Do Thi Minh Hieu, an overseas Vietnamese in Canada. It was licensed by the Committee for Foreign NGO Affairs’ (COMINGO) People's Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM) in September, 2010. It aims to help orphan, poor, and disabled children and those who are Agent Orange victims.
The DFRO’s “trans-Vietnam journey” program entitled “The spring still comes” started on January 8 and last on January 23, aiming to help leprosy patients in four leper camps, including Ben San (Binh Duong Province), Van Mon (Thai Binh), Di Linh (Lam Dong), and Quy Hoa (Binh Dinh).
