Coziness at houses of mercy charity
13:33', 9/10/ 2011 (GMT+7)

Representative from a branch of the Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies was offering gifts to Ms. Sang

Last weekend, Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies handed over a house of mercy charity to Ms. Vo Thi Sang, 70, at Tinh Hoa hamlet, Nhon Hanh commune, An Nhon district.

Her old house had been dilapidated and 0.5 metre lower than inter-village road. Her new house was built at the expenses of the Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies (20 million VND), Binh Dinh Association of Architects (10 million VND), An Nhon district Youth Union (5 million VND) and Ms. Sang’s family.

On the day of receiving the new house, she talked and laughed heartily. Branches of the Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies also offered her many gifts, such as bed, mattress, blanket, sedge mat, pots and glasses thermos, kettle, bowls, fan, etc. She incessantly thanked and profused good compliments on the valuable gifts which timely met her need.

Receiving the house handover paper from Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc - secretary of the Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies, tears welled up her eyes. “My family deadly thanks for the help of the young people. Without such the help, till when I and my children have chance to live in a new house” – said the old woman.

Mr. Huynh Van Luyen, Vice Chairman of Nhon Ly commune People’s Committee, said on behalf of the local government: “With the helps from the Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies and the district government, poor families can live in new houses. I expect more such houses will be handed over to the poor local people.”

The “house of mercy charity” was one of practical activities of the Communist Youth Union of provincial agencies, said Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc. The organization would try to hold more meaningful activities to directly help the poor.
