Binh Dinh, Sekong sign cooperation deals

The Binh Dinh’s delegation continued the visit to Laos’ southern province of Sekong on October 18. Two provinces’ leaders had a talk and signed cooperation program for the 2011-2016 at La Mam town.

Two provinces’ leaders had a talk about cooperation deals.

Two sides reviewed the cooperation program between two provinces in the past years and proposed new deals.

Under the new agreement, Binh Dinh is ready to assign experts to help Sekong province in agricultural sector, offer scholarships to its five students studying at Quy Nhon University.

Also, two provinces’ health sectors will share experience in epidemic prevention and health care for people. The relevant bodies, particularly the mass media, will be asked to frequently update the information about the close relationship between two provinces.

Alongside these, Binh Dinh and Sekong will boost the cooperation in tourism, particularly for such routes as Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Sekong, Champasak, and northeastern areas of Thailand.

The Sekong’s authorities will permit Binh Dinh’s enterprises to lease enough land to implement different projects as well as license them to explore minerals and study hydroelectric projects.

Binh Dinh’s Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien expressed many thanks to the local authorities for assisting Binh Dinh’s companies which are operation in Laos, hoping that the relationship between two provinces would be better and better.
