Thousands enjoy 2011 Merry Christmas

Thousands of people at Quy Nhon city and from neighbourhood converged on Catholic and Protestant churches all over the city for Christmas Eve celebrations Saturday (24 December). The worshippers in particular and the visitors in general watched Christmas Eve celebration performances and attended activities held by the churches; having good time of enjoying the midnight event, taking photos of decorative scenes within the churches’ yards which had been designed in commemoration of the birth of Jesus.

Quy Nhon Church (see photo), Quy Duc Church, Quy Hiep Church, Quy Nhon Protestant Church attracted the most crowded worshipers and visitors. Merry Christmas atmosphere could be felt in streets with much more traffic than usual. A lot of people gathered at  services of Christmas photographs.

Security at the churches which attracted many people was ensured as traffic police, ward-level police force and militia men were deployed. There was no traffic jam in certain inner-city streets because the municipal traffic police force regulated the vehicles.
