Authorities of Tay Son district – the homeland of Emperor Quang Trung (Nguyen Hue) – recalled the struggle against the Qing invaders of the Tay Son insurgent army, which was launched in the late 18th century and led by three brothers Nguyen Nhac, Nguyen Hue and Nguyen Lu.

Upholding the ancestors’ patriotic tradition, generations of residents in Tay Son district and Binh Dinh province as well promised to accomplish all the socio-economic, national defence and security targets set by the district and provincial-level Party Congresses.

Provincial leaders offered incenses and flowers at the monument dedicated to Emperor Quang Trung.

Following the incense and flower offering ceremony, delegates and local residents burnt incenses at the Tam Kiet Temple.

Scores of people came to the museum to enjoy many art performances.

Many activities are expected to take place until Feb. 8.
