At present, HCM City is the home of nearly 300,000 Binh Dinh people. Many of them came from districts of Hoai Nhon, Phu My, and Tay Son.

They have greatly contributed to the province’s issues in the past few years. The Binh Dinh fellow countrymen association in HCM City, for example, raised more than VND4.7 billion to help disadvantaged people in Binh Dinh last year.

Binh Dinh people living in HCM City were also encouraged to use goods made in Binh Dinh, helping to promote the province’s economic development.

They have organized different activities, aiming to help each other and strengthen the ties among the fellow countrymen.

At the get-together, many participants fired ideas off each other to contribute to the province’s development strategies, particularly in the field of manpower attraction.

The provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien acknowledged their contributions and he also briefed them on the province’s socio-economic situation in the past years, expressing the hope that Binh Dinh fellow countrymen will continue supporting their hometown in the coming time.
