Minister of MoLISA pays working visit to Binh Dinh

Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan paid a working visit to Binh Dinh on March 17.

Provincial Party Committee Chief Nguyen Van Thien and Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Le Huu Loc held a meeting with the MoLISA’s delegation.

They talked about the labor, employment, vocational training, and the implementation of social policies in the province.

According to the reports, more than 25,000 job vacancies were generated last year. Also, the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs focused on vocational training, allowance, housing for the poor, and medical insurance for under-6 children.

In 2011, Binh Dinh will strive to generate more than 25,000 new jobs, the reports said. The relevant bodies will also pay attention to implement preferential policies for social beneficiaries and reduce the rate of poor households by 2 percent.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Ngan highly appreciated the province’s efforts in the job generation, hunger elimination and poverty reduction, and other social affairs.

She emphasized that Binh Dinh needs to focus on rural vocational training, labor export, development of highly qualified manpower, and other issues.

Minister Ngan also acknowledged the province’s problems and promised to resolve them or submit them to the Government for consideration.
