60 poor households in two districts of Hoai An and Tuy Phuoc will be each given an interest-free loan of 10 million VND to do their husbandry business in two years (2011-2013) under the program “Giving farmers strength to let children go to school”.

Tuoi Tre Newspaper, GreenFeed Vietnam Company, Binh Dinh Farmers’ Association, and provincial Youth Union implemented the program on March 17.

As planned, the program is expected to be carried out in late April. The participating farmers will also receive consultancy on feeding techniques, prevention of diseases, and using food for cattle and poultry. They have to commit to the local authorities that they will not allow their kids to quit schools.

Apart from the loans totaling VND600 million, GreenFeed Vietnam also donated its foodstuff for cattle worth VND100 million to the farmers.
