Provincial Party Chief pays working visit to Phu My

Provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien speaks at the meeting with Phu My’s leaders.

The delegation led by Binh Dinh provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien went on an inspection tour in Phu My district on March 23.

According to the reports released by the district’s leaders, Phu My saw a total production value of 19.4 percent and the rate of poor households reduced by 17.64 percent in 2010.

The district’s total production value was estimated to reach over VND479 billion, a rise of 13 percent against the same period last year, in the first quarter of 2011. Phu My are also ready for the elections of the 13th National Assembly and the People's Council at all levels.

Speaking at the meeting, provincial Party Chief Thien asked the district to take full advantage of mineral resources and aquaculture to strengthen its industry.

He required the local authorities to strictly monitor the mineral exploitation to avoid the environmental pollution.

The meeting also focused on other relevant issues.
