Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien on April 5 held a meeting with the relevant bodies, discussing measures for implementing the national target program on building new rural areas in Binh Dinh in the 2011-2020 period.
According to the reports, three communes of Nhon Loc, Binh Thanh, and Hoai Huong were selected to join the program in 2010. They are financially supported to build new rural areas until 2015. Also, 23 other communes were selected to build new rural areas.
However, the program is facing many difficulties as there are not any circulars instructing the implementation of the program.
At the meeting, the participants agreed to select communes of Nhon Loc, Binh Nghi, Hoai Huong, and An Thanh to join the pilot program on building new rural areas. There will be one commune in each district selected to join the program from now until 2015.
Speaking at the meeting, Thien asked the functional bodies to strengthen the propagation, aiming to raise the people’s awareness of the national target program on building new rural areas.
Alongside this, the relevant bodies were required to check and adjust the planning for building new rural areas in the 2011-2015 and 2015-2020 periods.
