Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thien and Deputy Chief of provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Tung held a meeting with Quy Nhon Municipal Party Committee’s leaders on April 13.
At the meeting, the reports presented the city’s GDP in the first quarter of 2011 increased by 10.21 percent against 2010’s corresponding period and cultural-social issues as well as national defense and public order are under control.
In 2011, the city’s GDP is required to reach 14.5 percent, according to the targets set by the municipal Party Committee. The budget revenue is expected to gain over VND1 trillion and the rate of poor households will reduce by 1 percent per year.
The meeting also focused on other issues, such as planning, urban management, land, and finance.
The municipal Party Committee asked other bodies to popularize and quickly report the all-level Party Congress’s resolution, including the 12th municipal Party Congress, the 18th provincial Party Congress, and the 11th national Party Congress.
Alongside these, it has implemented a plan to study and thoroughly grasp the resolutions and focus on the resolution No.4 on “building and developing Quy Nhon in the cause of industrialization-modernization and integration”.
Speaking at the meeting, provincial Party Chief asked the municipal Party Committee’s leaders to popularize the above-mentioned resolutions, continue the “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary moral” campaign”, and focus on the manpower training.
Thien also asked the city’s leaders to re-check the city planning, particularly the urban development related issues. The planning will be rebuilt and submitted to the PM for approval when there is the proposal for the city planning until 2030 with a vision to 2050.
As for the management mechanism, the relevant bodies were assigned to check the current regulations and submit it to the provincial Party Committee’s standing board for consideration.
