All relevant bodies and localities have tried their utmost to prepare for the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term, which is scheduled to take place on May 22.

Provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien (first from right) inspected the preparation for elections in Dong Da ward.

Many panels were formed, aiming to monitor the preparation for the upcoming elections across the province from March 15 to May 14. They also went on an inspection tour about the preparation in three districts of Van Canh, Vinh Thanh, and An Lao where the elections are held one day earlier.

The representatives of Department of Home Affairs also inspected the polls in 50 communes, wards, and towns in Quy Nhon city and districts from May 10-16. Their tour aimed at promptly resolving any problems.

The localities have well prepared for elections even though some still saw shortcomings, according to Director of Home Affairs Department, Le Van Minh. This proved that the more concern the local authorities gave, the better the preparation for elections is.

Provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien also went to monitor the preparation in Quy Nhon city and districts of Tuy Phuoc and Tay Son.

Members of the province’s Election Steering Board held other meetings with different local authorities on the issue. The functional panels were assigned specific tasks, aiming to well prepare for the event.

The elections are now ready to take place.

So far, the propagation for the elections has still given special attention; meanwhile, the public security is also under control.

All facilities which are necessary for the event are now ready to serve at all levels.

“The preparation is urgently carried out in accordance with the law,” said Thien. “The functional bodies always focused on the implementation as they are well aware of the importance of the elections. Binh Dinh is well prepared for the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term.”
