The three-day high school exam finished after students took the last tests on June 4. All of them were pleased with the exam as the tests were quite easy this year. 98 percent of students attended the exam and there were not any students violating the regulations, according to Binh Dinh Department of Education and Training (DoET).
24,325 high-school students and 761 students at continuing education centres joined the exam held at 26 groups of schools across the province. Students didn’t have to travel far from home to sit the exam; thus, the number of absentees was lower than previous years, according to the statistics released by DoET. Among 32 absentees, there were 30 no-reason ones.
During the three-day event, no invigilators or students violated the rules, according to the statistics. The procedures followed the regulations. Students were always reminded to leave their mobile phones and any reference materials outside the exam rooms.
The invigilators strictly monitored students in the rooms while the public order were under control outside, said Tran Xuan Binh, an official of a school.
Students at continuing education centres also followed the regulations when taking their tests as all invigilators did their utmost to successfully fulfill the assigned tasks. Most of students expressed the hope that their results will be high.
The Ministry of Education and Training’s inspectors also expressed their satisfaction when going on an inspection tour at many schools. There were no problematic issues happening inside or outside exam venues during three days.
Most students said the tests were quite interesting and easy this year as they were all included in the school syllabus and some questions, which were expected to help classify the quality of students, required their critical thinking.
As for ethnic minority students, they also felt “comfortable” after finish the English test which is often the “roughest” one among six tests.
The exam successfully finished, according to DoET’s director Tran Van Qui. The education and training sector smoothly coordinated with other functional bodies to fulfill the tasks. Also, students’ parents, teachers, and students themselves contributed to the success of the event.
