Binh Dinh marks Press Day

A ceremony was held in Quy Nhon city yesterday (June 21), marking the 86th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2011). Some provincial leaders and representatives of bodies and journalists attended the ceremony.

In his speech delivered at the event, President of Binh Dinh Journalists’ Association Vo Xuan Phung emphasized that the local mass media have strongly developed. The local newspapers, magazines, TV station play a core role in promoting the province’s socio-economic development.

The mass media not only become a bridge connecting authorities with all people but bring policies close to all, according to the speech.

Speaking at the ceremony, provincial Vice Chairman Ho Quoc Dung praised the contributions of the local mass media and asked journalists to better their tasks, contributing to the province’s development.

On this occasion, journalists whose works won prizes at the annual contest for journalists were honored.
