Close tie with villagers

Son is talking with a villager.

The captain Tran Ngoc Son is a police official working in An Lao district for 10 years. He has a close tie with ethnic minority people in the district, helping them solve many public order related issues in the past years.

Graduating from the university in 2002, Son was assigned to work at An Lao district which sees many problems, such as the complex terrain or different ethnic minority groups living in the same village. He has patiently worked with them and proposed many solutions to effectively prevent many backward practices which ethnic minority groups had experienced for years.

In addition, some ethnic minority people sometimes killed themselves when facing difficulties or feeling bored. The social evil caused many worries for people, requiring timely measures from functional bodies.

Son was then asked to help the local authorities to resolve the problem. He himself went all villages to encourage and instruct the villagers to understand the issue and make a determined effort to halt the suicide.

His patience helped the functional bodies carry out many propagation activities, encouraging the locals to help each other. As a result, the number of suicide cases has gradually reduced.

Son now gets the belief from ethnic minority people living in the district. They are always ready to listen to him and do what he says. This may be the greatest pleasure he has ever had after 10 years of working here.
