Disadvantaged students receive scholarships |
Many disadvantaged students in Binh Dinh have been presented with scholarships since early August, helping them continue studying in the upcoming academic year.
Members of the provincial association for studying promotion have had to present many scholarships in the past one month.
According to the association’s chairman Huynh Dang Khanh, 51 outstanding but poor students and 31 disadvantaged teachers have received the financial support since early August. Also, 334 students who faced the risk of dropping out of school were offered scholarships.
Alongside these, the association coordinated with the East Meets West Foundation presented 396 SPELL scholarships to poor students studying at 10 junior high schools in three districts of An Lao, Van Canh, and Phu My.
Months ahead of academic year are the busiest time of year for studying promotion activities. There are various kinds of scholarships, aiming to help poor students study well or continue studying.
A new academic year is coming. Among students and teachers who are eager to return to the school after the summer holiday, there are still many students facing the risk of giving up their studying due to financial difficulties.
Presenting at any scholarship granting ceremonies, anyone could feel the cozy atmosphere brought by participating students.
Such programs are more and more spread. Many bodies, businesses have opened their own funds to support their staff’s children. The scholarships are the concern of the society for disadvantaged students, encouraging them to overcome difficulties.
