Binh Dinh always creates best conditions for different religions practises

On September 8, at Office of Binh Dinh People’s Committee, the Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung gave a warm welcome to Archbishop Leopoldo Girellit, the Vatican’s non-resident pontifical representative to Viet Nam, who was sending greetings to leaders of the provincial People’s Committee as the Vatican’s delegation were visiting Quy Nhon archdiocese.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Ho Quoc Dung thanked Archbishop Leopoldo Girellit and the Vatican’s delegation. The Vice Chairman also conveyed good wishes of other leaders from Binh Dinh Committee of the Communist Party and the provincial People’s Committee to the Vatican’s representative.

Vice Chairman Ho Quoc Dung introduced generally about recent socio-economic developments of the province, highly appraised contributions by Catholic dignitaries and followers in the Quy Nhon archdiocese to the socio-economic development programs through implementation of the Party’s and Government’s policies and guidelines, through practices of mutual help among communities in cases of natural disasters. The Vice Chairman affirmed that the provincial government always created best conditions for practices of different religions in general and the Catholicism in particular. The Vice Chairman expected that the visit of the Archbishop and the Vatican’s delegation to the Quy Nho archdiocese would be an encouragement to the Catholic followers all over the province.

Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the provincial People’s Committee and conveyed good wishes of Pope Benedict XVI to the provincial leaders. The Vatican’s representative also shown his happiness at the co-operation of the provincial government and the Quy Nhon archdiocese to the provincial community developments. He expected the co-operation would develop further in future.
