Binh Dinh People’s Committee has signed the Decision No.2034/QD-CTUBND on implementing the “Supporting laborers to work abroad” project. This is expected to offer more chances for laborers to work abroad.
The authorities had also approved the plan for labor export in three districts of An Lao, Van Canh, and Vinh Thanh early this year.
Under the plan, about 1,410 laborers living in these districts will work abroad in the 2011-2015 period. Among them, 70-80% are of poor and ethnic minority households. In 2011, 350 laborers are expected to be exported.
Poor laborers who go to work abroad will be fully supported while the others will receive 50 percent of the financial assistance.
Also, those belonging to social beneficiaries will be able to take out preferential loans and get allowances for accommodation and travelling when attending training courses.
The project is expanded in Quy Nhon and 7 districts. Laborers living in the areas and meeting the requirements will be supported, according to Huynh Ngoc Hai, an official of Binh Dinh Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
As for firms operating in labor export services will have rights to join the project if their labor export contracts are permitted by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs.
Alongside the financial support for training courses, the laborers will also get help in the formality procedure, such as visa, passport, medical check, and other issues.
