Provincial leader receives First Secretary of New Zealand Embassy to Vietnam

Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Thi Thu Ha had a talk with First Secretary of New Zealand Embassy to Vietnam, Ms. Margie Lowe, on Sept.26 on mid-term evaluation of the ongoing Sustainable Rural Livelihood Program in Binh Dinh.

At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Thu Ha briefly informed the New Zealand diplomat about results gained during the implementation of the program in the province. The vice chairwoman thanked the New Zealand government for its effective aid to Binh Dinh people.

Concerning the Sustainable Rural Livelihoods Program, the provincial government has directed its agricultural authorities and relevant local governments to implement the program as committed schedule.

Components of the program - verified safe vegetable production, increase incomes from coconuts, profitable animal husbandry practices – are being carried out efficiently at districts of Tay Son, Tuy Phuoc, Phu My, Hoai Nhon, Hoai An, Phu Cat and An Nhon.

First Secretary Margie Lowe thanked the provincial government for its warm welcome and asserted the close relationships between New Zealand government and Vietnam government in general, with Binh Dinh in particular. The diplomat expected the program would be successful in Binh Dinh.
