7:38', 5/11/ 2012 (GMT+7)

VND 31.8 million has been raised for the Fund “For beloved Truong Sa” after a month of the mobilization, the Veterans’ Association in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province said on November 3rd.

One month ago on October 4th, the city’s Veterans’ Association launched a mobilization to call on local veterans to join the nationwide movement in contributing to the fund. Right at the mobilization launching ceremony, the association received about VND 6 million from the delegates.

According to leaders of the city’s Veterans’ Association, the mobilization drive would continue to the end of the year and the association would summarize the mobilization drive and hand over the proceeds to soldiers and people on Truong Sa islands.

The Fund “For beloved Truong Sa” was founded to call on Vietnamese organizations and individuals at home and abroad to render supports for soldiers and people on Truong Sa islands, who lead hard lives there to protect national sea and island sovereignty.
