Underprivileged children receive gifts at the launching ceremony for Action Month for Children |
Binh Dinh have seen many slogans propagating the child protection campaign on these days, on the occasion of Action Month for Children. Many practical activities have been carried out.
A ceremony launching the Action Month for Children campaign was held in Quy Nhon city yesterday (May 31), with the participation of relevant bodies.
The campaign entitled “For a non-child abuse society” aims to kick off a series of programs to take care of children across the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, provincial vice chairman Mai Thanh Thang also asked all bodies and localities to effectively implement the task of protecting children.
Besides, it’s necessary to promote solutions to prevent and help special cases and children who risk falling into special cases, minimizing the child abuse in all aspects.
Hoai Nhon district People’s Committee also held a launching ceremony for the campaign in the district on May 26.
The Action Month for Children has caused positive changes in the whole society, enhancing the importance of child protection and ensuring that all children live in safe and healthy community.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs visited and presented over 1,000 gifts to orphans and disabled children living at social centres.
Alongside this, more than 300 scholarships, bicycles and educational facilities were presented to underprivileged children. During the launching ceremony, 50 disadvantaged children in Quy Nhon were offered gifts, let alone 400 gifts for disabled children, orphans and poor children. Some enterprises presented gifts to children in An Nhon town and those whose parents are living at Quy Hoa Leprosy camp.
Many entertainment activities have been held for children in Binh Dinh on the occasion of International Day for Children, which falls on today (June 1).
