Binh Dinh tourism has reaped many encouraging achievements and positive growth. One of main factors is that the tourism promotion has had much more concerns.
Under the province Committee of the Party's Action Plan in accordance with the Resolution of the 17th Congress on tourism development in the 2006-10 period, Binh Dinh tourism held various tourism advertising activities.
Binh Dinh Tourism Department has paid much attention to tourism advertisement by participating in many exhibitions and conferences on tourism, such as: international tourism exhibition 2006 in HCM City, APEC Tourism Fair in Hoi An, and "Vietnamese Days in Korea" program.
Thanks to such events, distinctive features of Binh Dinh's land and people as well as the potential of Binh Dinh tourism were introduced to visitors. Also, Binh Dinh tourism learned more experiences to prepare for Tay Son Festival 2008.
Many new advertising hoardings were placed at gateway to Binh Dinh. Also, Binh Dinh Tourism Department cooperated with Science and Technology Department to build a website introducing Binh Dinh tourism, and a digital map for tourists. Together with other provincial functional bodies, Binh Dinh Tourism Department assisted domestic and foreign investors in studying tourism projects in Binh Dinh.
The information about Binh Dinh tourism is also frequently introduced on mass media. Provincial Tourism Department has cooperated with Vietnam Television Broadcasting Center in Da Nang to broadcast the program entitled "Binh Dinh – potential for eco-sea tourism" on Vietnam Television Station's channel.
In the upcoming time, Binh Dinh Tourism will focus on activities advertising Tay Son Festival 2008. This is a second-to-none opportunity to broadly advertise Binh Dinh tourism to domestic and foreign visitors.
To meet the demand for finding the information about Binh Dinh tourism, a "Binh Dinh tourism" handbook in Vietnam, English, and Chinese is going to be published alongside the newly published map on Binh Dinh tourism and a Vietnamese-English postcard collection. Recently, Binh Dinh Tourism Department has combined with Binh Dinh Television Station to have the latest documentary on provincial tourism broadcasted.
After participating in the third international tourism exhibition in HCM City in early October, Binh Dinh tourism is planned to join the tourism and trade fair under the "Thai Nguyen Tourism Year 2007" program in late 2007.
With the establishment of Binh Dinh Tourism Department's tourism promotion center, tourism advertising activities will be promoted. Besides positive achievements, however, there still exist many difficulties, especially the limited expenditure for the tourism advertisement.
