On weekends you can refresh yourself with a tour at traditional trade villages in An Nhon District to know more about their operation.
Statistics showed that there are over 40 trade villages in Binh Dinh, of which a half situates in An Nhon District. They locate around Do Ban's and King's citadels with beautiful landscapes of the countryside.
Coming to Nhon Loc Commune, you will be able to visit Cu Lam hamlet where Bau Da rice-wine is made. It is the trade village making "Bau Da wine" brand name become well known. When in Nhon Hung, you can be interested in wooden sculptures and the inlay with mother-of-pearl. Here you can also be attracted by sculptors' skills.
Back to Nhon Hung, you will see the conical hat village or move to Nhon Phuc to enjoy Song Than rice vermicelli. To know more about ornamental trees you should tour Nhon An where there are many apricot gardens. Travelling to Dap Da, you are able to explore the brozen castings at Bang Chau village.
Often, tourists travelling by sea via Quy Nhon Port are taken to traditional trade villages in Nhon Hau. Tourists also can visit unique cultural vestiges like the square well dug in Champa period, relics at Do Ban citadel, or old broken bricks at King citadel, listening to sounds of bells at Thap Thap pagoda. All will make you feel a wave of nostalgia.
One day is not enough for you travel all trade villages in An Nhon but you still understand unique features of traditional trades. By visiting these villages you will treasure handicrafts made by villagers here.
