Good impression on Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort

In spite of its young age, Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort has won favour of many visitors thanks to its modern, romantic, charming but simple beauty of Vietnamese culture.

After an over-hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City, we arrived Phu Cat Airport of Binh Dinh Province. It was the very first time I had visited Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. I had no idea except some so-called general geographical knowledge about the land . In my imagination, Quy Nhon was just a coastal city in Central Vietnam. It was certainly sunny, windy and there was, of course, sea. That was all. There would be nothing special. As a small city without prominent  fame in term of tourism, Quy Nhon City was rarely mentioned on the country’s mass media. It would have no impressive distinction with other coastal cities of interest.

From Phu Cat Airport, we headed towards Quy Nhon City, the chief town of Binh Dinh Province, by Vietnam Airline bus. Consecutive mountains, verdant fields passed our eyes. Local landscape was like a reticent but attractive girl gradually winning our souls.

The more we was near Quy Nhon City, the more charming beauty of the girl magically attracted us. No one could stop “oh”, “ah” at an ancient brick Cham Tower solemnly standing on top of verdant hills. Understanding the surprise of the visitors, bus driver told us that was Banh It Tower, one of many remaining Cham towers in Binh Dinh Province. It would take us quite a lot of time to visit all of them. With its well-planned construction, Quy Nhon proved to be a young, active and decent city.

We took a taxi to Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort. Knowing our destination, the taxi driver proudly said that Hoang Anh Quy Nhon was one of the two most beautiful 4-star hotels in Quy Nhon. Honestly speaking, before the tour’s departure, we had doubted that we would hardly find an ideal place of relaxation with beautiful beach, pretty landscape and professional tourist service in such a small and unpopular city.

Entering the resort, I was absolutely dumb at its scenery. At last, the reticent charming beauty of the girl occupied the whole of my mind. It was not boastful to compare Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort as a noble musical note of Quy Nhon Bay melody linking downtown of the city and majestic Genh Rang beauty spot and picturesque Hoang Hau (Queen) Beach. Although I had visited many luxurious coastal resorts, I hardly found such beautiful resort with favourable location along 750 metres of sea coast.

Buildings of the resort were designed like communal house of Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the Highlands with red tiled-roof. Traditional architecture was harmonious with modern architecture. Interior furniture was mainly made of wood and stone. Combination of warm wood (implied  forest) and cold stone (refered to mountain) was main typical decoration style of Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort. The resort had 133 rooms (63 sea-facing rooms, 67 back-yard rooms and 3 suits). All of them were large, airy and had balconies towards sea, hill, mountain or the city downtown.

Staying the whole day in a room at the resort, you always seemingly wallowed yourself in nature.  The beach was just a stone’s throw.  Standing at the balcony, you might feel the sea is touchabe within an arm distant. When your feet felt smoothness and coolness of yellow sand, your mind would be free of stress of daily life and work.

Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort had many restaurants with reasonable prices. Asian Restaurant was open round the clock, serving Vietnamese food, Asian food and European food. This was in fact an ideal place for wedding parties, buffets, etc. At Sailboat Restaurant (with its unique sailboat design) facing toward the sea, you could enjoy romantic moment of relaxation while eating local specialities. There were 4 bars for you to choose: Bar & Coffee, Lobby Bar, Swimming Pool Bar and Relaxation Bar serving alcoholic drinks, cocktail and fast food.

A 250-seat meeting room of the resort was modernly equipped as an ideal place for local and international conferences, for a 300-customer buffet party. You could do exercise, play tennis, have steam bath or Jacuzzi, enjoy Thai-style or Vietnamese-style massage service, etc. inside the resort. Two swimming pools (1 big and 1 small) were available for the visitors to swim at any time, even in the evening.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tri, Director of the resort, introduced 10 cultural, ecological, picnic tours around Quy Nhon City and neighbouring districts besides sea bathing, sport playing and entertainment services at the resort. The visitors may enjoy interesting and helpful tours to get more knowledge about history and culture of Binh Dinh, about biography and glorious course of King Quang Trung-Nguyen Hue, about typical traditional local music and famous martial art of Tay Son land. Hoang Anh Quy Nhon Resort can satisfy needs of not only domestic visitors but also the Vietnamese overseas national whenever they want to come back their hometown for relaxation, for travelling and enrichment of knowledge about history and culture of the locality.
