Tay Son Uprising from the outset was contributed by Bana ethnic minority and Central Highland ethnic groups. So, it was named Tay Son Upland Movement. The gift of Gia Lai Province People's Committee is very meaningful. The communal house locates at a favourable place in Quang Trung Museum. It’s back stands against mountain and its front faces a blue brook murmuring days and nights as sound of Central Highland Gongs. The communal house’s design has typical characteristics of Bana ethnic minority. It is 17m in height, 9m in width, 19m in length and has 12 of 9m and 0,4m diameter columns, 6 of 9m beams, etc. In total, the Bana-style communal house was made of 63m3 of good wood and over 10 pieces of thatchs.

According to Mr. Tran Dinh Ky, Director of Quang Trung Museum, domestic and international tourists to Quang Trung Museum now can know about special features of Bana ethnic minority culture by contemplating the architecture of the communal house,  objects on display inside the house and other cultural art performance activities.

In the 4th morning day of the Tet Festival, Tay Son District People’s Committee coordinated with Quang Trung Museum to organize a thurification ceremony at shrine of three Tay Son brothers. Tourists were allowed to visit the museum and the Bana-style communal house in the afternoon of the same day. Gong performance, a buffet with local specilities including Quang Trung wine, etc. were held to serve the tourists.
