On 26th Februay 2007, Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee issued a decision on “Implementation of 2006-2010 Action Plan” in accordance to a resolution by the provincial Communist Party Committee in its 17th session.
The Action Plan has 6 targets with 46 particular tasks, including: to push up domestic and international tourist promotion and tourist investment, to organize many tourist events such as Binh Dinh Sea Festival, tourist activities in commemoration of the 110th birthday of Quy Nhon City, exploitation tours along East-West Corridor,etc), to plan and build key tourist infrastructure, to make out highly competitive unique local tourist services, to train tourist human resource, to reform administrative procedure, to upgrade state management on tourism, to preserve natural resources and ecological environment, to ensure sustainable development of tourism.
The Committee assigned presiding bodies and coordinating agencies to implement the tasks as planning. The implementation of the Action Plan is expected to cost nearly 5.000 billion (USD 312.500 million) which mainly comes from investment of enterprises and investors. Expenditure of planning, writing project proposals, infrastructure building, advertising and promotion campaigns, capacicity building for tourist staff, administrative reform, governmental management enhancement,etc. will be covered by state budget.
