This was the second time ASTOR had come to Binh Dinh Province through Quy Nhon Port. (The first arrival took place in 2002). It was ASTOR that marked the very first arrival of an oceangoing passenger ship to Binh Dinh in 2007. Saigon Tourist Co. and Quy Nhon Travel Co., Ltd (Q Travel) were the two co-organizers of the tour. Before coming to Vietnam, ASTOR had visited many countries in its tour around the world (from 27th December 2006 to 30th April 2007).

At 9a.m, a hotel-size grant passenger ship uncomposedly approached a wharf of Quy Nhon Port. Although the ship arrived one and a half hours later than its planned itinerary, the visitors were happy at uncomplicated immigration procedure and warm reception of charming Vietnamese women in traditional white Ao Dai (The long split tunic typically worn by Vietnamese women) with friendly smiles on their faces and fresh roses on their hands. All of 453 visitors got in 12 modern touring cars (8 cars in Quy Nhon City and the rest 4 cars from Nha Trang City), heading for Quang Trung Museum, Banh It Cham Tower, Duong Long Cham Tower, Canh Tien Cham Tower, Nhon Hau village of wooden turning, Van Son village of hand-made pottery, Tay Phuong Danh village of forging, etc. In late afternoon, the visitors toured around Quy Nhon City, visiting Thap Doi (Twin Cham Tower), Dam Market, Long Khanh Pagoda, Provincial General Museum, etc. At 6p.m, the German visitors came back the ship to leave Quy Nhon.
The 8-hour tour around some of tourist spots, beauties of nature and trade villages in Binh Dinh Province was really impressive to the tourists from afar. Typical local souvenirs such as wooden turned items of fine arts, Bau Da wine were favourite options of the tourists. Ms. Knoche Christel Emmi expressed her impression about tour after visiting Quang Trung Museum: “The performance of Kung fu and Tay Son martial arts music at the museum is very interesting. I enjoy this tour very much because I visit many typical unique places which are totally different with other localities of Vietnam. I has a lot of things to tell my families and my friends about this land of historical cultural monuments”. Mr. Kreutzer said: “Cham Towers in Binh Dinh are very impressive but roads to the towers are not good. Country people are friendly and open-hearted”.
