After a long time for preparations, Ha Noi-based Urban Civilisation Development Joint Stock Company plans to start building the Canh Tien tourist area in the middle of October, 2007.

1-The Ba mountain in Cat Hai (Phu Cat district) has a beautiful landscape, connecting with the traffic system of the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. It includes the Nui Ba (Ba mountain) vestige and Trung Luong pebbles and gravel with some picturesque beaches, which is very suitable for the tourism development. These places have their own distinctive features.
Almost mountain sides of the Ba mountain and Trung Luong pebbles and gravel afford a panoramic view towards the sea, which is an ideal site for the construction of tourist sub-areas, eco-villas, and beach resorts. At the Trung Luong pebbles and gravel, the whole south and south-east mountain slope is directed towards the East sea, and under the foot of the reef situates an unspoilt coast with pebble beaches.
Under the project, the Ba mountain area is suitable for the construction of eco-villas for the short or long term-lease and public services; meanwhile, the Trung Luong pebbles and gravel will be used for building a 4-5 star resort for the sea bathing, mountain climbing and sightseeing. In the north slope of Cat Hai commune, there will be a protective forest and a inner road for the Trung Luong pebbles and gravel.
All buildings in the Canh Tien tourist area will be built at different heights towards the sea. This will help tourist enjoy the natural landscape. Apart from this, other services, such as rowing, diving, or sea bathing will be hoped to attract more tourists.
2-The Canh Tien tourist area will partly contribute to the infrastructure of Binh Dinh tourism in general and the Nhon Hoi Economic zone in particular, meeting visitors’ higher demands. Currently, thanks to the support of the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and local authorities, the ground clearance is almost completed.
Under the agreement between the Urban Civilisation Development Joint-Stock Company and the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Administration, the Canh Tien tourist area is going to be started building in the middle of October. According to Mr. Le Tan Buu, representative of the Urban Civilisation Development Joint-Stock Company in Binh Dinh, tourism activities need the synchronous completion of both infrastructure and products for the tourism, so the company must be cautious. In the first phase of the project, the ground will be leveled for the construction of the technical infrastructure but the natural landscape will be still kept original.

The Canh Tien tourist area situates in the north of the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (between Cat Tien and Cat Hai communes) with an area of 58.6 ha. The projected area includes two sub-areas. The sub-area A in the west of the provincial road 639 has an area of 10.6 ha, which will be used to construct villas for the short and long term rent and other public services. The 48 ha-sub-area B in the east is for building the resort and tourism services.
The project will be invested within 5 years with the total investment capital of US$10 mln The construction consists of three phases: the first phase (6-10 months) for the construction of the technical infrastructure, the second phase (12-18 months) for the construction of villas and supporting works, and the last phase (18-20 months) for the rest works. | |
