Binh Dinh Province People's Committee on December 14, 2006 signed the Decision on establishing Binh Dinh Tourism Promotion Center (Binh Dinh TPC) under Binh Dinh Department of Tourism. It has contributed to the development of Binh Dinh tourism.
Binh Dinh TPC has strengthened the management and cooperated with relevant bodies and agencies to further Binh Dinh tourism through various activities, creating remarkable results.
In 2007, Binh Dinh TPC and Vietnam Television Center in Da Nang City made a program introducing the potential of Binh Dinh eco-tourism. It also cooperated with Vietnam Television Center in Phu Yen Province to make a documentary on Cham towers cluster and trade villages in Binh Dinh, aiming to introduce Binh Dinh's unique features to domestic and foreign tourists.
Also, it helped provincial travel agencies to participate in exhibitions and fairs held nationwide and abroad to intensify the relationship with other partners. Thanks to Binh Dinh TPC, travel agencies have effectively promoted their programs, attracting many tourists.
Recently, the website about Binh Dinh tourism (www.binhdinhetour.com.vn) has been upgraded, let alone the newly published CD about Binh Dinh and tourist map. Binh Dinh TPC has cooperated with the mass media to provide the information about policies and tourism project to call on investors.
The training to provide the human resource for tourism was carried out last year. The staff of hotels in Quy Nhon and tour guides were trained to fulfill requirements.
Owing to its new establishment, Binh Dinh TPC hasn't been fully effective. However, the tourism promotion was still strengthened, making Binh Dinh become well known.
Binh Dinh TPC was expected to join Binh Dinh-Tay Son Festival, publishing Binh Dinh tourism handbook and other new publications to introduce landscapes and tourism sites in Binh Dinh. It also planned to further activities to call on the investment for tourism projects, said director of Binh Dinh TPC, Huynh Cao Nhat.
