Hoai Nhon District has many vestiges and beautiful landscapes, let alone a 24-km coast and the newly built Nhon Hoi-Tam Quan coastal road No 639. These are expected to strengthen the tourism industry in Hoai Nhon.
Great potential
Hoai Nhon is the gateway to the sea, bridging Districts of Hoai An and An Lao with the National highway No1A. It was oriented to become a fourth-grade urban before 2010.
Tam Quan commune in Hoai Nhon District is famous for coconut trees, becoming Binh Dinh people’s pride and joy.
Tam Quan seaport, Dieu Quang fall, Ha Xuyen mountains are beautiful landscapes. A long sandbank, running from An Du seaport to Bai Con valley, mixed witth Lai Giang River and Kim Giao lagoon are also expected to attract visitors.
Down from the hill, Lo Dieu beach looks like a huge bow, backing the mountain and facing the sea. Fishing villages in Hoai Nhon often have many cultural events, such as cau ngu (wishing for a good fishing harvest) festival, ba chao chanty, boat racing, and bai choi performance.
Hoai Nhon District also has many historical and cultural vestiges alongside Vang stream, Chua Mountain, Do waterfall, and Thiet Dinh Lake.
Those who come to Hoai Nhon District will be able to visit craft villages. They could enjoy the making of products from sedge and coconut.
Wake up to potential
A positive sign is that Binh Dinh’s tourism project involved Hoai Nhon District in the connection with Hue, Da Nang, Quy Nhon and neighboring areas. This will help strengthen the development of tourism in Hoai Nhon.
A project on developing trade, service, and tourism in Hoai Nhon by 2010 could be considered as a breakthrough in its economic structure.
Many historical vestiges such as Nga Ba Dinh or An Son have being upgraded. Thanh Linh Co., Ltd was approved to invest 280 billion VND in building an eco-tourism site in Lo Dieu.
Although it is the first step that costs, Hoai Nhon District showed that it is determined to wake up to the great potential.
